Good Points

I have had two carisma's in the past 5 years and I have been very pleased with both. My first was a 1600 glx on a P plate, which was unbelievably reliable. My second one now is a 1600 equipe on a Y plate, which is not quite as good but is still over-all very reliable. The one fault it has is a broken window switch (just the knob but at £80 for a complete unit from Mitsubishi it's a rip off). Both cars I had converted to LPG when I had them with tyre well tanks, these cars are perfect for such a conversion as you still have a very big boot and MPG is stays at 35.

Bad Points

The finish is just a bit tacky.

General Comments

The Mitsubishi Carisma 1600 is very reliable with no rust. Cheap to buy second hand. Low running costs (had a gas conversion which will pay for itself - £1.80 gas or £4.08 petrol - saves me £2.28 every 35 miles.
