Good Points

Fantastic battery life (about 100 holiday snaps per day, and the battery lasted usually 2 - 3 days before needing a recharge).
Great photos of things in motion for a digital camera. In fact, beautiful picture quality in general (either on 'auto' setting or when you choose your own)
Robust camera casing that has withstood some pretty worrying knocks without affecting the look of the camera, or having any impact on its ability to take great photos.
Easy to use, with a pretty quick shutter speed (for a digital), and the auto focus is also quick (with multiple points of focus).
LCD is large, so reviewing with the camera or showing other people your photos via the camera is really easy.

Bad Points

Haven't been able to buy off-the-shelf protective film sheets for the LCD - it's fiddly cutting them to size from sheets for PDA's.
The menuing is a bit confusing when you are first working out how to use the camera (it seems like there aren't enough menu screens / it is too simple).
It can be a little too easy to inadvertently flip settings by knocking the menu disk wheel/button.
From off to ready to shoot is sluggish (yet it is the quickest I've experienced with a digital).

General Comments

This is the best digital camera I have ever owned (compared to the Minolta Dimage 7i and Nikon 5200 - both 5 mega-pixel cameras).

For a digital camera, the Canon PowerShot S80 has a great battery life, quick shutter speed and auto focus, as well as being a great weight and size for carrying around.

I still haven't read the manual, which to me says that it has great usability. And despite some initial confusion about how to turn the flash on and off, I have found setting changes really quick and easy to master without the manual.

This camera has been used for taking holiday snaps as well as stock photos, and it hasn't disappointed on any occasion.

My only worry is that eventually I'll need to replace it, and I genuinely don't think there will be another camera that I'll be as happy with.
