Good Points

It did transfer my documents and photos.


Bad Points

I could not access them. It caused problems with my most important programs, MS Office & QB, which cost me HOURS and hundreds of dollars to remedy. PC Mover offers NO tech support.


General Comments

I bought PC Mover when I recently bought my new Dell computer. The Dell sales person said all his customers raved about how easy it was to use. I am sorry I fell for it. I immediately had trouble w/MS Office and activation. I had bought a new MS Office license and PC Mover failed to suggest I install the new Office software before I used their program although I am not even sure that would have solved my issues. PC Mover failed to respond to both of my calls for tech support- they have you leave your name on an answering machine. They just don't bother to call you back. It took me HOURS and many, many phone calls both w/ Dell and Mircosoft to resolve the issue. I had to repeatedly uninstall and reinstall Office before I was able to activate the new MS Office. However, even after that was done, I was unable to locate any of my 11,000 files/documents. That took another round of phone calls. In addition to problems w/ Office, the program totally screwed up my access to Quick Books. Again, hours later and a $49.00 service call to Intuit and $150.00 worth of my bookkeepers time and after uninstalling and reinstalling QB multiple times I am finally able to get into it but none of my financial information was saved. I now have to re-transfer all my financial records. PC Mover also did not transfer any of my macros in Word. They are just gone. I have not really been able to get the new computer fully up and running yet so I am not sure what other problems I will have, but I can tell you I wish I never purchased this program. It has literally cost me HOURS of down time and hundreds of dollars.
