Good Points

I have been using the three-step St. Tropez tanning system for a couple of months now. I am very satisfied with the results. It makes me look like I have just returned from a beach vacation (although I have vitiligo, and therefore cannot get a sun tan at all in certain spots). I like the fact that I just have to cover every spot of my body (which the tint makes easy to control) and not worry about streaks. If you don't use the moisturizer right before, or when applying the tanning lotion, it dries quicker than any of the drug store gels I have tried before. To me, the drying time is very important.
I often use the product during day time hours, wearing loose clothes after applying the tanner. Works well too. The color looks great on me.

Bad Points

It is a little bit messy and takes a while to get used to it, but other self-tanners pose equal problems. Also, if you use it overnight, you will have brown spots on your bed sheets. They wash out easily, but you might want take precautions.

General Comments

Contrary to many people who apply the St Tropez tanning product wearing rubber gloves, I use my bare hands, and I don't mix it with moisturizer. With the gloves, I used way more product, and I looked like a zebra after applying it, although the end results were hardly ever streaky (I think the moisturizer can cause you to end up with streaks).

I clean my hands with the St.Tropez Remover and then apply a bit of the tanning lotion to the top of my hands with a paper towel. I use the moisturizer to pre-treat a few rough spots (ankles, knees, elbows), and after I showered off the brown tint. I think I have the regimen down now. Winter time is a great time to experiment with this product on your legs. If it does not turn out the way you hoped it would, you'll be "covered".
