General Comments

Three's ever growing collection of handsets introduces the Chinese manufactured ZTE F866, all singing all dancing Video phone. From it's silver and black casing to it's little screen that tells you who is calling, it hides some big sins. The VGA camera is good in daylight; if your outside and the sun is melting your ice cream, get inside your house or club or large leisure yacht the camera fails to perform even if you've got all the lights on- the picture you've just taken is black with white dots showing where the lights are. Although 3 have now reduced the RRP to 19.99 shifting this handset has proved problematic, there is no way of transfering your pictures to either pc or printer- USB or infrared, speaker quality is abismal when watching videos or listening to downloaded music. The ZTE has some good points which has average battery life compared to similar phones, sleek styling(put it side by side to earlier video phones) and it's oh so easy to use menu and keypad. If this phone had connectivity, a decent speaker and a light(NEC 616) it would be a good phone, trying to get accessories for this phone was a major headache with only the three website selling them. Overall if you want a basic video phone with out the bells and whistles that makes and recieves calls then go for it; but if you want the all singing and all dancing version try another maker (big hint Nokia or Sony Ericsson). They even glued the sim card in- why?
