The characters could have been friends of mine, they were so believable and justly so, as the book is based on the authors'story! I just loved the email twist as a lot of people I know seems to be meeting this way.
Bad Points
There is not a lot of surmounting conflict, but its still an enjoyable tale.
General Comments
If you are looking for a lite summer read that as a divorced, middle-aged parent you can indeed relate to, this is a true find! Based on two journalists with sour pasts, the story unfolds into a delightful romance initiated through email.
While I would have preferred some coniving, reactionary mischief on behalf of the main female character, I was still thrilled with the book and realized I read it in one sitting. Short and sweet takes the cake for me these days and this book, Thief of Words, is definitely that.
