Good Points

What a picture.
The wife loves 42 inches

Bad Points

Agree, remote is a bit naff and takes a bit of getting used to (without reading instructions [as usual]).
Make and sell a better one Tosh?

General Comments

Bought recently from Currys who said it would be delivered by Wednesday (3 weeks ago). The afternoon before delivery day they telephoned to say that it was not in stock after all. The woman on the phone got rude when I said I was disappointed at having to arrange another day off work to sign for delivery (it is an inconvenience). Another cancelled order Currys!!!

Went online, and got a better deal with Digital Empire. Paid, a couple of days later it was delivered to my house by them. 50 miles, Free. Good service (also (price matched Currys) and I asked for and got a good free Hi-Def connection Cable (£25) for the DVD player).

Autotune for Freeview was a cinch. I do not live in a designated area for Freeview, but the TV got all the stations and a great picture.

I hooked the TV up to a DVD Up-scaling player to watch (near Hi-Def) Quality movies from our extensive DVD collection [why buy blu-ray, when 'up-scaling' is the cheapest way to go and your existing DVD collection becomes magnificent?]

Now waiting for the PS3 for some serious quality games to take advantage of this 'best bang for the buck REAL HI-DEF (Currys floor staff misinformed me about Hi-Def) TV in the country for the money]. Am heading for Japan in early January (07), so will check out the PS3 there and just might post one to myself back in the UK.

Pat on the back for everyone at Toshiba.
And for Panasonic for the Up scaling DVD player (the only one that [currently] plays all UK DVD forms of discs and DVD-Ram (home movies).
