Good Points

Looks great, with good realism.


Bad Points

A bit slow, and colouring is a bit dull.


General Comments

I'm not sure if the EntEnte - World War 1 Battlefields PC game actually uses the Cossacks engine, but if not its layout is very similar, and by default it is a good game. The graphics are fantastic, the realism is good, men get quite literally mown down when faced by tanks/machine guns, etc. The artillery explosions are very realistic.

My only gripes are that the single player missions aren't very engaging. There is no storyline to suck you in, and it is a time consuming game. In order to build up enough resources to purchase some of the better units and upgrades, you'll be there for hours. You can of course get around this by setting the starting resources very high, but that then removes the economic race aspect from the game.
