General Comments
Bought second hand in .22 cal, a bit rough at first but what a difference it made with the following maintenance: stripped and polished, new piston seal, v-mach spring and top hat installed, re-lubed. It is now one of the nicest springers that I have ever shot and I've shot a lot. The recoil is sweet, a nice nudge as it was quite sharp before, now it's very well balanced and the weight helps with the recoil, its very accurate for a springer. It's a brilliant hunting rifle, mine now shoots at 11.4 and is very smooth on loading. The barrel, being 1/2 unf thread, gives you the choice of plenty of silencers, the safety catch is in a really good place and is also resettable. Some are not and need re-cocking to set safety. Overall the Longbow it is very well made, it has good metal, the barrel pin is very good with thick shims each side and a lockable hinge pin. It's very much like the Venom conversion on the hw 80s, all in all its one of the best springers that I have tuned and worked on, its a pity Webley have now finished.

Do you know if the new Webley Longbow still comes with the Lothar Walther barrel (in .22)?
