Good Points

We all absolutely loved the indoor pool area - very tropical - not too busy, and extremely relaxing. The casino too was quite entertaining for our teenage daughters, and they were delighted to meet with the Australian croupiers on-board.

Bad Points

The gratuities that were charged on the drinks were high, especially when consideration is given to the fact that you are expected to tip staff individually at the end of the cruise, which included the wine waiters, who in my opinion had already been tipped (although I wonder if Royal Caribbean would have been the sole beneficiary of the gratuities paid on wine and other beverages)!

General Comments

The Brilliance of the Seas is an amazingly beautiful cruise ship.
We had booked an inside cabin, which was extremely comfortable and spacious - we were more than happy with it - there was a safe, hairdryer, plenty of wardrobe space, an extremely large bed (I'm sure it was even larger than our king sized bed at home), fair sized shower/en suite, and the room was serviced in the morning and evening.

We opted to take the early sitting for the evening meal, solely for the reason that we do not like eating too late and going to bed feeling uncomfortably full. However, I found that it was a little rushed getting back from day trips and being ready by 6pm. In hindsight, I think I would have preferred to have had a little quiet time relaxing by the pool after a day out, and then leisurely get ready for dinner at a later time.

I am unable to comment on entertainment other than the pianist in the Colony Bar who was excellent, as we didn't get as far as the theatre in the evenings.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise, and we are already looking forward to the next time!
