Your child will love to see his or her name, and their own friends name etc on the PC CD-ROM.
Delivery is very fast.
Excellent play/education value.
I read the other review on Storybook Stars, and I decided to take a look at what they were offering. I found not only were they selling personalised books, but also personalised PC CD-ROM's. I was impressed, and I ordered a CD-ROM for only £7.95 and left a comment for the other reviewer, on the 9th of November 2006. Today is Monday the 13th of November 2006, and the CD-ROM arrived this morning. What service! And with a weekend in between!
The CD-ROM I ordered was called 'Too Many Monsters'. I have just checked it, and I am now even more impressed! So much so, that I most definitely intend to order more for my son, and also for any of his friends whose Birthday Parties etc he attends. Too Many Monsters is on offer at the moment, but the others only cost £9.95, and there are many to choose from, for any time of the year, including Christmas specials. The price includes delivery charges, so you really can't go wrong!
You enter your child's name when ordering, and the Town or City in which you live. You can also choose their two best friends (or siblings) and an adult carer or relative, so no matter what the child's situation is, or however unusual their name is, this CD-ROM will be especially for them! There are 3 levels of play, my 8 year old is suggested as level 2, so it will give a lot of play value as a child gets older.
Too Many Monsters is about the child dreaming of monsters, and I would imagine it could be used to help a child conquer a night time fear in a very wonderful way as the story unfolds.
This CD-ROM also contains games for the child to play, pictures to print off and colour and puzzles to solve.
In all, this is not only fun but Educational, and it will help with your child's spelling and co-ordination, and also with problem solving. I would most certainly recommend a look. I am sure you will be as impressed as I am. My son hasn't seen his new personalised gift yet, as I will probably give it to him for Christmas. If I can wait that long to see his face when he reads the story with him as the main character! If I give in, I will comment on his opinion here! If not, we'll all have to wait until after Christmas!
