Good Points

A no fuss, compact, portable, stylish and good sound quality unit for its size. Developed a simple fault after 2 years, which the manufacturer fixed within 10-days, for free at no expense to me.

Bad Points

Poor build quality.
No wake-up alarm.
Expensive.
The remote is too compact.

General Comments

I'm really interested in top-quality hi-fi's, and I bought the BOSE unit to fill a niche; needed a small system, with no wires that would sit on a shelf in a box room. The BOSE unit was perfect for that purpose, but the sound can be lost in living rooms/lounges. The unit costs around £850. A Denon hifi of £250 would trounce it for sound and build quality. It doesn't have bass or treble control, nor does it have any other form of sound adjustments, but this suits me just fine. A top spec hi-fi (Naim, Music Fidelity, Sugden etc...) doesn't either. The unit is very harsh in music reproduction, making poor quality CD's and MP3's sound poor. For its compact size it's great, but don't be fooled by the mass-marketing; you can buy better, for cheaper, but it'll likely take up more space. Never give BOSE your home address as the junk mail has only just stopped for me now after 15-years.
