Good Points

complete ease of use, light and manageable and easy to store. Having used back pack blowers in the past, the added bonus of the vacuum attachment makes this a much more versatile machine. It is very powerful for its size, and as it is made by Stihl, it has a good spares and back up service.


Bad Points

None really. The fuel tank could be larger. The instructions contained in the vacuum bag kit show the tube to the bag in the wrong position. I have found the machine held with right hand on the throttle, and left hand on the nearest lower handle, and the bag over your left shoulder with tube fitted accordingly works best.


General Comments

As a private gardener, I blow the fallen leaves to one end of the garden, then fit the vacuum bag and tube of the Stihl BG 85 leaf blower and pick up and deposit shedded leaves on the compost heap without any problem whatsoever.
