Good Points
Well made, great value for money and not bad looking.
Bad Points
Plastic trigger and fore sight kicks scopes off.
General Comments
The BSA Supersport is a great little gun. I first bought one back in the early 80s and now have acquired another .22, although it needed a new piston head and breech seal and a guy from the Longford range did it for a very reasonable price.
With the right pellets, they are devastatingly accurate and deliver more than enough power to dispatch small game at useful ranges, between 25 and 40 yds. The gun I have now is 13 years old and is still knocking rabbits over at 35 yds +.
The only down side is the scope rails are not deep enough and tend to throw scopes off unless you have one fitted with the Dampamount scope rail which seems to cure the problem and I would agree a gas ram seems to tame it a bit and quieten it down as well.

Sorry Bro, it's the one I use in BBS. No one told me it was in use when I registered on the site as you will have noticed. I'm sure there will be loads more before we're finished.

I also have an "old" Supersport - about 15 years old. It too threw scopes off, but the nice guys at Maskells Guns put a "block" on the back of the scope rail that was screwed into the main body of the gun behind the mainspring support pin. This worked perfectly and have recently noticed that Gamo have incorporated this as a design feature! I had to use a good quality scope as the cheap ones wandered very far off true in a couple of shots. After 5 years in storage and two house moves, I was surprised to find that the scope was still dead-on! Unfortunately, the piston and cocking lever are now worn, and unless I can get spares, the poor lady is going to have to be updated.... Can anyone help here??
