Great as long as you don't use them.

General Comments

My brother-in-law had car insurance with Geico for almost 7 years. His payment was late for October, so they cancelled his policy and told him they were sending his money back because it was late, and he would have to re-establish his coverage at a higher rate. As he is out of work right now that is not a good idea. We asked to talk to a local office and see if we could get something done about it, and we were told that the nearest office was in San Diego. I thought by telling them that I was his wife would make them change their minds, but then they wanted to know if I was using the car and that they could not issue a new policy without my information. Which of course then they could up the price some more. I refused. Then I told them I was married to his brother, and they said they could not issue a policy without proof of a marriage license saying that I was married to his brother!!! I told them that we would be looking for another insurance agent and promptly did.

We went to AIS and they are agents for Mercury Insurance, and we got a much better quote, so we will be signing up with them.
