General Comments

Ibuprofen is a good over-the-counter pain relief medication for problems like:
Rheumatic and muscular pain
Pain of non-serious arthritic conditions
Backache
Neuralgia
Migraine
Headache
Dental pain
Period pain
Feverishness, colds and flu.

As with all medication, it is a good idea to check with the pharmacist if this is suitable for your condition, especially if taking other medication, prescribed or otherwise.

You should not take this if you had or are still suffering from stomach ulcers or bleeding of the stomach or if allergic to Ibuprofen, aspirin or any other pain killers. Usually the tablets are coated to make them easier to swallow, and be sure to check you are not allergic to any of the other ingredients in the tablets.

Special care should be taken if you suffer from:
Asthma
Heart liver or kidney problems
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
You are taking anticoagulants
You are taking diuretics
Drugs for high blood pressure or heart disease
Lithium or Methotrexate

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) The tablets are usually sold in 200mg doses and you can take 1-2 tablets up to 3 times daily. No more. The dose should not be repeated more frequently than every 4 hours and no more than 6 should be taken in any 24 hour period. If symptoms still persist after 3 days, consult your Doctor or Pharmacist before taking any more.

Not to be given to children under 12.

As with any medication, whether prescribed or purchased over-the-counter, read the instructions.

I should have also stated that Ibuprofen tablets should be taken with or just after food, or it can cause indigestion.
