Good Points

Beautiful hotel.
Kids swimming pool, and 3 other pools - 1 with a ship in the water where you can have a drink.
Big rooms.
Big bed.

Bad Points

The staff in the restaurant would only bother about getting your table cleaned if they knew they were getting a tip!! My husband forgot to tip one night, and the waiter was very unfriendly. They were always on their mobile phones, and the waitresses dresses could have been a little bit longer!!

The last night of being there, we were leaving at 12 o'clock at night, and we went down for our last meal and they refused, saying we shouldn't get this meal. My friends daughter got really upset, so we went to see the manager, and after a long discussion, we were allowed to eat, but this shouldn't have happened, as it really spoiled a brilliant holiday.

If you have kids or if you are in a wheelchair, it's a bit hard to get out, as there are no ramps, and you have to carry your pram over the bridges and down a flight of stairs, which was a pain.

The beach wasn't that clean. It got cleaned, but not enough. There were a lot of fag ends in the sand.

Finally, I didn't like the animals on the streets. The horses were there every day and night, and they never seen to get fed or watered. There were 2 dancing brown bears and some snakes for people to have their photo's taken with, but I don't agree with treating animals this way, and it should be stopped.

General Comments

The Victoria Palace Hotel in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria is absolutely beautiful! The chandelier as you walk in tells you everything. It's a magnificent place! Everywhere in the hotel is very posh. There is even a lady playing the piano at night. There was a kids swimming pool, and there were 3 other pools - 1 with a ship in the water where you can have a drink. Lots of people were taking photo's of the hotel, and it felt nice to think we were there. The rooms were very big. We were in a corner room that was the size of Buckingham Palace. The room was for a family and there was a fold down settee bed, but it wasn't needed, as myself, my husband and 2 children slept together in a queen size bed (I've never been abroad and had a double bed, never mind a queen size!!

I loved this hotel, but I wouldn't go again for the simple reason it was very posh and we couldn't let the kids run around and enjoy themselves, but I would tell anyone and everyone that is a couple or the older generation - please go and enjoy.

Sunny Beach is brilliant as long as you have lots of money!!!
A lot of people told us we wouldn't be able to spend our money, but you find a way when you have young kids.

If you like water parks and you have young kids, go to Sunny Beach aqua park. It's not far to walk in between slides, and there are a few rides kids can go on (don't take food or drinks in, as they do a quick search and take them off you).
Karns Tent is brilliant, but wouldn't take kids under 6 - 7. My 3 year old didn't like it and fell to sleep. You get a free bottle of wine each or 2 pints of beer. Kids got 2 bottles of pop and a 4 course meal, and as long as you will try any food you will be OK!!
