We have 6 cats, and we love the Oreck XL vacuum cleaner!! It works great! The people that are leaving poor reviews I guess don't know how to use it! LOL! We use the Crystal instead of the powder cleaner. The powder cleaner is what killed our last vac, which was a Hoover. We have no problem with the Oreck picking up the cat hair. I would recommend this vacuum cleaner! The cost is high, but I was tired of buying a vac every two years.
