giraffe's Review of HP Color LaserJet 2550L Laser Printer
3rd Nov 2006
Overall Rating
- Value for money

- Ink ConsumptionPoor
- Ease of Set Up

- Time Laser Printer OwnedOver 1 Year
- Print Quality

Easy to set up and good quality printing.
Bad Points
Toner cartridges monitored electronically. When one runs out the printer won't continue until it is replaced. (If one of the colours runs out you can't print in black and white). One month out of warranty the printer has a mechanical fault. HP want £399 to repair a £300 printer.
It was nice while it lasted!
General Comments
Overall, I thought the HP Color Laserjet 2550L printer was really good until the ink ran out. Being unable to print because one colour has run out is daft, and I was very unimpressed when it broke after 13 months of home use.
I've loads of HP products, and this is the only one that has let me down.

Yes, I am TOTALLY annoyed about the toners. What company would invent a printer that you can't use if the yellow runs out and you don;t want to print in colour. Oh yes, HP!
