You need it, someone's got it!
Cheep, vast selection, no pressure buying, expert advice from the friendliest sales men you will ever find.
Be prepared to get dirty, queues to get in was horrendous.
There are many 4 x 4 sales around the country and this 4x4 Sodbury Sortout is one of the biggest. It is held at the County Show Ground just off Junction 13 of the M4 at Newbury in Birkshire. It is usually held at the end of October each year but next year there will be one in March as well.
This year there were over 500 pitches consisting of stands with new items as well as the majority of stands that were selling every used/second hand part you would ever need to repair or build your own 4 x 4. Also for sale are specialised items such as roll cages, winches, roof racks and specialised tools.
There is also the opportunity to purchase second hand vehicles either ready for off road fun or as a project vehicle for you to work on for the future.
All in all this is a great day out rummaging and even if you do not want to buy, the people who attend this meet are the most helpful and friendly people on the road, and they will always give advice freely and help fellow 4 x 4 owners when ever they can.
The following advice should also be heeded:
Wear wellies or walking boots, always haggle, shop around, but if you see what you really need, buy it before someone else does.
