General Comments

Ok - its a rover you say ...well, if you had the petrol variants.....this diesel powered car is amazingly strong, pull off in 2nd gear no problem.....(3rd also - but I dont recommend it all the time unless you want to change the clutch)It also does at least 55 mpg around town or 65 on the motorway@60 mph. visibility it great all around the carand enough room for 5 adults. The body rusts on it tho which is typical of rover. Also typical of rover is the utterly AWFUL trim quality, I would doubt a quality controller was ever appointed at the longbridge plant ( is that where they made the maestro?).Oh - for a diesel - as soon as the turbo kicks in, you have power ;)

P.s I have covered 14k in it in 1 year...and the total for this car stands at 156658 miles......not bad for £100 ;)

Gaz, just to let you know, Rover made the montego and maestro at Cowley, Oxford - the factory where the mini is now built. The cars are basically austin's, just kept alive by rover
