Good Points

Sound quality is good, so is the DVD control system. Looks are OK, woofer is nice.


Bad Points

Disc changing problems especially through the remote - it took me about 6 months to master the disc change through remote. WMA playback is missing. After sales service is extremely poor - I purchased the system for about $400 and after 8 months or so the CD mechanism was totally upset - I continued to play it as I was thinking that maybe it requires a service after a year. Three months later it refused to work and I had to spend $60 to repair it.


General Comments

The Philips FW-D596/30 has a good audio system but is very, very unreliable.
