General Comments

We purchased travel insurance from Tesco. This was a single policy for a family. We had to claim for lost belongings upon our return from holiday. We were interrogated, and we felt, after each telephone conversation with them that we were committing an act of fraud. We had to send them our household insurance details in case we were career claimants! We would not mind, but the claim was for a very small amount, and we only continued fighting them out of principle we were not letting them treat us in this way. We then found that as the three of us lost items, we each had to pay £35.00 excess - why, when we took out a Family Policy? This experience has been a great learning exercise for us, and we now know what pertinent questions to ask to travel insurance providers in respect of their terms and conditions and small print etc. Hence we will never use Tesco again.

    Tesco are an absolute disgrace. I shall food shop at Sainsburys after reading all 10 out of 10 reviews that were all complaints about Tesco insurance. Not one review had anything good to say about Tesco. Sainsburys and Morrisons are far nicer to shop in. Tesco and Asda are full of cheap poor quality food. Just like the petrol they dished out a few months back!
