Lack of contact.
Few viewings.
Lack of updates.
Unrealistic valuation.


General Comments

We had our house on the market for 11 weeks with this estate agent. We had very sporadic viewings and had to chase for updates. I don't think we were provided with any kind of marketing contract. The advertising in the local press was far from satisfactory (inaccurate wording used), and the William H Brown estate agents failed to inform us that a house identical to ours had come onto the market at £4,000 cheaper. An offer was subsequently made and accepted on that property (After 1 week on the market) by a viewer who had initially wanted to make an offer on our property because it offered 'Better value for money'. We were then asked if we had thought about lowering the asking price for our property, despite the fact that we had always said we were willing to be flexible on this!! The agent had little explanation for the lack of updates, and eventually we moved to another agent.
