It works well as both printer and scanner, with integral one button photocopying and low black ink usage (I don't use enough colour to comment).
I bought the HP PSC 1210 multifunction printer as a shop soiled unit. The software package is huge (100Mb+) which I had to download off the Internet.
When printing more than a single page, the print head frequently jams on the paper feed mechanism; a fault which I have also seen on another PSC 1210 printer, so you have to print a long document a page at a time.
I got it for a bargain price (£40 down from £110) so I can't really grumble, but the frequent jamming faults mean it's now on my list of things to replace.
