Good Points

Crystal clear call clarity, and easy to use telephone. Digital answerphone gives clear recordings.


Bad Points

Even after a year I still cannot set the date/time function on the answerphone, and the 'you have a message' beep can be irritating (wakes me from sleep).


General Comments

The BT Synergy 3505 telephone is a good digital phone, with excellent range and call clarity and simple phone controls.
The answer machine function is more complex due to the limited control buttons, and with the telephone based systems now, an answering machine is not needed.
The answering machine is what brought the ease of use down, the telephone itself is pure simplicity to use.

Buy the more basic version, without the built-in answering machine, and use the BT 1571 service instead. I did, when my mother needed a new phone.
