General Comments
Hi,
I drive a Honda Civic Sport 1.6i VTEC on a 2005 plate. I am only 19 and cannot afford the £11,000 insurance they are asking for the superb TYPE R, but however, this car is absolutely superb for a 1.6, it shows up all these tacky production line cheap buy 1 get 6 free Corsas, Astras and Vectras! It leaves any Astra 1.8 twintop rubbish or any Corsa for dust. Most of my friends own TYPE Rs and their performance is flawless. However, my sport will keep up with the R on a very very tight twisty road or track only on handling though, if you give the R a wiff of a corner and you're left for dust, but the Sport is superb on fuel, handling and looks stunning. I would 100% recommend to anybody who is even considering buying a Sport, to get one you will not be disappointed. Absolute bargain in every way.
Now that I have added a few little goodies to my Sport, the main thing that heps my Sport in handling is I have the TYPE R wheels now and wow, what a difference. I have also put a 4-2-1 manifold, Honda datatech ecu on stage 1 a turbo performance chip and a pipecross vector induction kit onto mine and a novelty V - TEC light indicator. If you are considering putting on a TYPE R spoiler, do not make the mistake I did. The actual type R spoiler does not fit, the glass is different at the top of the tailgate. You need to go to a Honda dealer and get a type R style spoiler which is the same but with sport fittings, they retail for about £290 ex. paint fitting, etc.
Hope my review helps but if you are considering buying a Sport, don't hesitate, get your cash and treat yourself to a superb car and get some little goodies for it like Type R wheels, they help!!
