Good Points

Flash appearance.
Performance 1Gb of RAM.
Received many comments on unique design compared to the usually boxy drab look of the typical notebook.


Bad Points

Poor battery life and occasional lock up; probably due to running too many memory hungry programs.
Weak power adapter unit. Mine had to be replaced after only two years of use.


General Comments

This is my third laptop, and I have previously owned a Dell and a Sony. This machine is by far the best of the three in my experience. I've found it to be very dependable, and the UXGA screen is tremendous. I bought the Toshiba Satellite 5200-701 in September 2003. Since then, many people have commented on the crispness and color intensity of the screen. More recently, this kind of screen is becoming more common. I can't comment on customer support due to the fact that this fabulous machine hasn't failed me yet, in three years. Knock on wood - I tote it from work and home on a daily basis.

Overall, it is well worth the buy.
