On arrival (quite late at night) we were greeted in reception and our details were quickly taken and passports photocopied with minimal hassle, and we were given glasses of orange juice to refresh us until we got ourselves organised and to our rooms. On entering the reception we were chatting to departing guests who said "we hate you - I wish we were only arriving!!", and we hoped that was a good sign, and it was! Immediate warmth and genuine friendliness was clear from all the staff, who were very helpful to us, as we didn't know what to expect, as we had our holiday cancelled two days before departure, and were allocated this on arrival at Palma de Mallorca Airport.

The hotel was spacious and welcoming, which allayed all our fears! It was spotlessly clean and tidy, modern and family friendly. We couldn't believe our luck. Our rep had scheduled a meeting the following morning, and informed us of activities and trips, which offered a wide range of choice for families, young couples and the older couple. The hotel had a wide range of guests of varying age and nationalities. The facilities were great within the hotel, including a buffet style restaurant for breakfast and evening dinner, offering a wide variety of food. During the day a series of kids club, from babies right up to 16 years, ran with an exceptional team of dedicated staff. Never a dull moment around the hotel with so many things going on! An indoor pool, a large freeform outdoor pool, and a smaller pool all could be used during the day. At times, the small pool was used for activities and water polo for the kids clubs (and even the adults got roped in to play!! Great fun!) and it was entertaining to watch! There was never a 'busy' pool as there were multiple pools, and even with lots of people in them, they weren't crowded! Also two baby pools. Beside the pools was a poolside bar serving soft drinks, alcohol and snacks, such as pizza, burgers, chips and kiddie foods.

In the mornings the sun loungers aren't unchained until 8am, and there was always a sun lounger available! No shortage of them - and free of charge! Plenty of areas to lie in, ranging from poolside action view to the quiet relaxing 'out of the way' areas. poolside showers also. Indoor changing area and showers also.

In the evenings the entertainment was varied and there was something for everyone - magician shows, cabaret, karaoke, boys vs. girls challenge nights, bingo to win champagne - you name it they had it, and it runs on a 2 weekly basis, so no repeats, even if you're there for 2 weeks! 'Entertaining' bar staff will never disappoint you! Entertainment finishes at 12am and the bar closes at 1am, so no rowdy late nights. Entertainment couldn't be heard from hotel rooms.

Every room had a sea view and overlooked the pool area, and was spacious enough to be comfortable for the two weeks. The room was made up every day, and the towels changed also. It was pristine every day! Fridges could be hired for the room also.

The only 'bad' point I can list is the lack of air conditioning! We did have a ceiling fan, and I had to sleep with it on all night in July, as we had temperatures of 36 - 38 degrees C! I also slept with the balcony door open due to the heatwave.

3 lifts serve the 13 floors of the hotel, and they were quite slow due to a high volume of people using them, but it's not a bad point as such!!

Overall, it was an excellent stay. We were a bit disappointed with the location of the complex, as it was on a rocky cove with no beach. Although we did find one a 5 minute walk away down about 200 steps! It's worth it, but it was lovely to find a nice quiet spot in the hotel complex too! The small town had a poor selection of shops and restaurants. A train (carriage pulled by a tractor) takes you around the local areas for a small charge. I could recommend the D'Alfil Restaurant on the corner in the town - excellent food and drink selection, especially for kids. Shop in the hotel complex for water etc. 2 supermarkets are located within 5 minutes walking distance! Everything was near the Sol Mastines Chihuahuas in Majorca.

It was an excellent family holiday.
