Nice looking car with a bit of old school charm, much more interesting than modern cars in the same sector and much better value for money as a used buy. Silly amount of car for the money, deceptively capable and quite rapid for a big old bus! I can see why the fuzz loved them so dearly. Forget that BMW 5 series for £2000, go buy a £750 3.0 24v Senator, honestly - you wont regret it. Looks much better with Opel badges! Can clock up starship mileage with no worries if it's looked after.
Not a great deal, rust being the biggest problem, rear arches mainly. Weak head gaskets and timing chain history a must. As I said before, Vauxhall badges.
The Vauxhall Senator 3.0 24v is better than you would think.
