Good Points

Pool facilities were good, and the location of the hotel is very good. 10 minute walk to beach, and central for restaurants and shops.

Bad Points

Excessive music noise between 1am and 4am every night (reason for moving rooms), and could still hear music in 2nd room, but slightly muffled. Can't believe no-one else had mentioned it. If it hadn't been for this and the Pontin's style entertainment on the complex, it would have got a higher rating.

General Comments

I wouldn't recommend the hotel based on our experience. Maybe we were unlucky, although we found the staff very nice and helpful, and the apartments at Caleta Gardens in Fuereventura were very clean. Caleta de Fuste itself is a very pretty town, and the beaches look beautiful. There is a lot of building work going on around the outskirts of the town and by the lagoon. The water in the main crescent shaped beach is quite stony (sharp stones), and very few people were venturing into the sea. I would recommend taking swim shoes with you, as you can't get them easily in the town. If you walk round to the right of the crescent shaped beach, you will come across some Lagoons. Again, beautiful, but if you go in the water be prepared to sink up to your calves in black mud. And the water is so murky you can't snorkel. The breeze was cooling, although the last 3 days it was so very fierce felt like I was being shot-blasted by the sand. We also found that on the last couple of days, the sea by the lagoons came right up over the walkway, and totally ruined the beach.

There are boat trips available costing between €20 - €40. The highlight of the holiday was feeding the chipmunks along the coastal path. Buy a bag of peanuts and they will take them from your hand.
