General Comments

I bought my '91 Yamaha SR125 last year and it has done me proud. Commuting 26 miles a day it's been reliable and very good at cutting through city centre traffic in a fraction of the time it takes car owning friends of mine.

The real joy, however, is kicking it into the wide open roads of the peak district. Yes, it isn't the speediest bike in the world but it's damn fun to ride and I've spent many a day 8+ hours in the seat without even the hint of a sore backside.

If you want a cool, mean looking uber-bike for tearing round the local estate, *don't* by an sr125. If on the other hand you actually want a decent bike to use everyday, build experience, enjoy riding long distances and run on a shoestring budget, the sr is perfect. Wouldn't swap it for the world (except perhaps for an sr400!).
