Established estate agents with a 'good' name
Reasonable fees
Really haven't grasped the idea of the internet/emails!
We put our property on the market in around March with Gascoigne Halman estate agents. They put it on at what we thought was a very high price, but we went with it as we weren't in a huge hurry to sell. To be fair, we did get some viewings, but no-one seemed to have any idea what kind of property they were coming to see (number of bedrooms, did it have a basement and garage etc.), which was odd, as full details were on Right Move. Viewings didn't increase even when we dropped the price. Then we worked out they weren't responding to any enquiries via Right Move, or if they did, it was days later, and when we tested the other branches they were exactly the same! Wasted loads of opportunities, I'm sure. We've since heard the same thing from other people who've used them. Better to try selling by yourself!
