Good Points

If you like queues, wasps, rubbish, hiking and being charged over the odds for everything, then Woodlands is ideal for you!

Bad Points

This parc over fills itself beyond all reason. They never turn anyone away and accept any number of coaches without bookings. When you pay to get in (£70 for two adults and our kids) you find the parc over a huge valley setting with queues for absolutely everything, except paying to enter. In six hours we managed one ride and spent endless hours queuing for other rides before being forced away by either the trash can wasps harassing the queue or the kids totally fed up waiting for rides, that in all honesty are poor compared with real leisure parcs. In peak season this place is to be avoided like the plague, especially if like us you have small kids as well.

General Comments

In their defence, they said that they keep the parc open later to allow people longer to queue, how thoughtful! We were sent complimentary tickets as compensation, which we returned to Woodland Leisure Park as we do not know anyone who we dislike enough to inflict a similar day out on, and we wouldn't go again if you paid us. All that is required to sort their problems out is a simple restriction on visitor numbers for any one day.

We would like to state that we feel shockking's review is unfair, we have many letters and emails from visitors who have had very enjoyable days spent at Woodlands. For 2007 the entry price for 2 adults and 2 children is £37.20. Ride queues have signs showing queuing time, it does get busy in peak season but we have 60 acres of indoor and outdoor attractions so there is always something else on offer.
