General Comments

I used to own a Sony D8 camcorder and I was just fed up with storing cassettes and worrying if I would overwrite it, and then I saw that Sony has launched a few camcorders with HDD. I knew that this Sony DCR-SR100 was made for me. After reading a few reviews, I went and bought one for me, and believe me you'll throw your old personal camcorder away. It is bundled with features.

To start with, it has a 30gb HDD in which you can store 7.4 of high quality videos and 20 hours of low quality videos, and the high quality videos is DVD quality with 5.1 channel sound.

And it's the best camcorder for slow learners as it has got an easy button, just press this button n the camcorder goes into easy mode with large buttons on touch screen. It has all auto controls, it has got many manual controls too, just in case you want to shoot a video from a window. It's also very easy to set manual focus or exposure, just touch on the screen which you want to focus, and it just focuses it.

Still photographs taken by it can be developed into A4 size photographs with out any grains, battery supplied by it last about 2-3 hours of shooting, and it's very easy to import videos to PC just by drag n drop, super night vision is also very good, recording delay is also very useful, just press the rec button n the recording starts, and last but not the least, there were many times in your life when you missed a very important show on TV (like a football match, serials, etc.), now you can just record them directly on the camcorder and can play later on your TV or PC.
