General Comments

I paid a premium for next day delivery, but the item was delivered 4 days late. The computer repeatedly crashed, so I contacted them and arranged a return. I was then issued you with a partial refund which surprised me. I contacted customer service and they advised me I had failed to return the item in full. After some persuasion the advisor agreed to call returns, and after 15 minutes on hold I was advised that an error had been made and a full refund would be offered.

Next, I received a partial refund again. This was because I had activated Windows and the computer had been found not to be faulty. I contacted customer service and requested further information, but the advisor couldn't help, as she didn't know anything about computers. Eventually, after 5 emails to the sales manager I received a mocked-up engineers report confirming the system had been tested, which was dated one week after I had been advised the test had been taken.

I have just received an email from the Novatech Direct sales manager advising they are prepared to refund the cost of the next day delivery charge as a goodwill gesture, which is great, but I am still short of the cost of Windows (£60), as they state the system was working. I am now pursuing the remaining balance through my credit card company and the local Department of Trade and Industry.

Overall, a very unsatisfactory service.
