Blackburn2378's Review of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps
4th Oct 2006
Overall Rating
- Starring (Main Performers)Not supplied
Excellent, and well loved main characters. Simple, witty and light hearted. Common people can relate to this comedy when on form, with moments of genius in the early first, second, third and fourth series.
Bad Points
A decline in the quality of comedy to a more daft style that made Two Pints less funny, moving away from its foundations back in 2001.
General Comments
It is one of the few good comedies on television. Although both series 5 and 6 are vastly less good than the previous series. There is less energy and bad supporting characters with the loss of characters such as Munch and Flo, as well bad story lines.
None the less, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps is overall, especially series 1 and 2) an excellent programme that young people can relate to and enjoy, being both witty and amusing.
