Glove fit, hidden laces
Leather tears, impossible to keep clean
I have the Adidas F50+ FG in silver and red and love them. Put them on straight out of the box and played a match. Fabulous, no need to break them in. Instep fits like a glove and the striking pad offers great touch. The leather is so soft you can feel the joints in the football.
Only bad points is that after the first game, the leather on mine got minute tears where the paint started to come off and they could not retain their colour in those spots. This may be due to the hardness of Caribbean pitches, as they are generally hard mud with sparse grass, and the dry mud rubbed against the leather like sandpaper. I wish they made a HG version with studs like the Copa Mundials for our pitches. Also when the field is wet the synthetic parts of the boot retain water and they become heavy and the leather is so slick, any driven shot is potluck, as it is likely to slice wide. Maybe I should try those Nomis boots designed for grip in the wet.
