Good Points
Unbelievably fast rendering at highest video settings at 1680 x 1050 resolution.
Bad Points
On-board fan can be loud at times.
ATI Catalyst software has some minor but annoying bugs (does not affect gameplay though).
General Comments
I wanted a video card that would play FEAR, Oblivion and everything currently out at the maximum video quality on a 1680 x 1050 LCD widescreen. The ATI Radeon X1800XT video graphics card is not quite the powerhouse of the X1900 series, but in my opinion it is the best value high-end ATI card at this time. It runs somewhere around $300, depending on where you buy it, and it will likely drop in price soon as well. Moving up from a Radeon 9600XT, I found out what I had been missing!
I've had the card for about four months. If I were in the market right now for a new card, I would still seriously consider this one.
