Friendly staff. Brilliant with my 3 children. The pool was clean and it was cleaned a few times during our stay. The maids visited our apartment every day. The linen was changed 3 times a week, beds made every day and the bins were emptied every day. For 2* apartments this was great service! Reception staff were very helpful and bent over backwards to assist us when required. The restaurant was a little expensive, but who wants to dine there every night? We went to the harbour and along the road to have meals, and we found that there wasn't that much difference in price. Cyprus in general is expensive to eat out, but we knew this before we travelled out there, so we prepared ourselves! Yes, we had a problem with insects as it's a hot climate and is expected. How hard is it to blast them with insect repellent? If you ask reception they will gladly give you some spray to get rid of them! We have booked The Land of the Kings for next year because we cannot fault these apartments. You get what you pay for! We certainly felt it was good value for money. Would definitely recommend to all.

Annoying people reserving loungers who only appear after lunch to use them - very unfair!! Air conditioning should be free to everyone, not just certain travel companies!! Paphos Airport? What's going on there then? 2 hours outside the building before check-in - not good! Only in the building 1/2 hour before we boarded the plane to come home!!

Cyprus is a beautiful island, and it is definitely worth hiring a car. We hired a Grande Vitara for 3 days for £75CYP, and we went to Aphrodite Waterpark. It was a fantastic day out! We stayed until closing, as the kids didn't want to leave! Adonis Falls, oh my god, how gorgeous is this place? Beware the temperature of the bath as it could certainly stop your heart. It's freezing, but so refreshing when you get out. Beware of the steps down to the bath too, as they are very hazardous for small children and infirm visitors. The Troodos mountains are a must to visit. The views just take your breath away, so take lots of photos. Be careful though, as there are signs that prohibit photography because of the Cypriot military bases. There are lots of places to eat in the mountains. Try a meze, real style in a real Cypriot village with the locals. They are very hospitable people. I have visited Cyprus 6 times, and I have never been unhappy and will carry on visiting Cyprus for many years to come.
