Parallax adjustment from 7.5 yards to Infinity. Excellent for accommodating targets at various distances.
The screw-on lens cover takes too long to unscrew or to screw back on. Flip up lens covers would have been a major improvement.
Variable magnification would have been a plus, but for the price, 4x is fine.
This BSA Air Rifle scope 4 X 32 is sturdy and accurate. Once mounted on my Gamo springer (with a scope stop), I have not had to readjust the sight-in, as with some cheaper scopes can creep. I even accidentally dropped the rifle from about two feet onto concrete (oops!) and other than a scratch on the scope top screw cover, to my amazement it still shot true, and no lens cracks either (I wouldn't recommend doing that on purpose, however).
The eye relief is generally forgiving, and with the parallax set right the reticle doesn't move against the background. I sighted in the scope at 20 yards and had the parallax adjusted for that distance. In the field, I simply adjust to my estimate of the target distance, and the scope compensates to allow better accuracy.
The scope works well in all lighting conditions except at night. I have heard that low-powered scopes with 50mm objectives can be used in low-light conditions, but this scope suits my purposes quite well.
