General Comments

I bought this Tokyo Marui Steyr Model GB gun (my first airsoft pistol) on the net for £40. This was to me (at the time) a relatively good price. It only took 2 days to arrive and when it arrived I opened it eagerly. The presentation on the box was impressive and the picture of the contained gun was quite realistic. When I opened the box I picked up the gun, it was all plastic (ABS) except the inside of the barrel. The underside of the gun was a grated plastic but at first I did not complain. Then with the supplied 134a gas, I loaded up the gun (note: unlike most airsoft pistols, this gun does not have the gas reservoir in the magazine but in the gun itself, this is an issue because it reduces the size of the magazine to a thin plastic stick). The first 40 shots were satisfactory, then they started veering off course. I refilled the gas reservoir and noticed that there were white stains all over the hammer, so I took the slide off to investigate and found the gas had leaked. I found this strange, as I fired the gun only 40 times in a space of about 30 minutes. A week through owning the gun, a piece of plastic above the hammer fell off, this was to keep the slide from getting caught on the hammer. Now I have lost the piece and have a gun that cannot be cocked using the slide. This problem may have just been a fault in my gun, but as I don't know anyone else with this pistol, I cannot compare the durability of the gun. I don't recommend anyone buying this gun, even as a starter side arm.
