One year free banking.
Trying to open a bank account is like some kind of repeating nightmare.
Lost documents three times.
Processes failed.
Long, long waits on the phone.
Customer service seems to be staffed by stroppy teenagers.
I have been trying to open a business account with Natwest. I have had a personal account with them for years and always been OK. So I thought easy option, open the biz account with them too. How wrong I was. They have a process for getting proof of ID documents which just does not work. So they lose everything, spotty teenager eventually answers phone to say "dunno, try sending it again..?."
I think the trick is not to use the telephone banking, but to go with your local branch. However, I am so disgusted with them now that I am not interested.
