Good Points
Great road holding at speed, does not flat spot as easily as Michelin, BMW R1200RT in South Africa, 10000km in 3 months mostly long trips, touring & cornering speeds 180/190km per hour.
Bad Points
Only one very bad point: Solid portion in middle of tyre gives no warning when tyre is near steel belt. Small tread depth indicator would help, design flaw. I know of 5 instances where bikers were suddenly stranded hundreds of km from dealer, showing steel belt.
General Comments
The Metzeler Roadtec Z6 Tyre seems to give approx 12000km on rear on BMW at mostly 180km touring speeds. I suggest Metzeler changes design to incorporate just a few tread depth indicators. It would save many stranded bikers shouting abuse at back tyres! Until then I will not be replacing with the same tyre. I can play safe and replace now, but I don't like wasting tyre life/mileage just because I cannot guess residual tyre life.
