Good Points

Well kept grounds, good choice of food, friendly and efficient staff and no reluctance when serving up drinks on the all inclusive package.


Bad Points

None really. Some people might find it a bit isolated, it is a large complex on a cliff top, not in the middle of a busy town.


General Comments

I was a bit concerned about staying here based on the reviews I read before leaving. I found the place perfect in every way. I did hire a car and found a road (track) to the beach a little further along towards Vilamoura, thus avoiding the 93 steps down to the sand - not a problem for me but my wife preferred to avoid the steps. The beer was the usual lager/beer found in these sorts of areas, and it was perfectly OK and four or five pints every evening was a perfect ending to every day. Food was plentiful and it was always possible to find something enjoyable, with a good choice of salads, fish, meat and pastas. Also a lovely selection of sweets and fruit. As far as the 4 star rating goes, you must accept that rooms in these places do not compare with rooms in central london, or any other major city. I found the room adequate, the beds were fairly hard but ok, and the decor was different. The grounds and bars were all looked after very well. If you want a holiday that is full of discos and buzz, this would not be for you, but if you want to relax and be left alone to please yourself, this is the place.
