Good Points

Fantastic engine, fantastic engine, fantastic engine! It does what you want! Accelerates fast, overtakes easily and is mind-bogglingly economical (I've had over 66mpg on a 200 mile journey before), and very roomy boot!

Bad Points

Small electrical niggles like the power steering sensor having to be replaced, brake light sensor having to be replaced. Also reckon it could do with more legroom in the back.

General Comments

I've had this Skoda Fabia 1.9 TDi since new. At the point of doing test drives I almost got a Toyota Corolla mainly because of its reliability, but it had a titchy boot. I went into the Skoda garage and was amazed at Fabia Elegance Estate TDI. Okay, it doesn't have such a comfy interior as the Toyota, but once I'd felt the exhilarating acceleration of the Fabia TDI (by comparison that is), there was no going back. I'm really pleased overall, apart from the odd slightly dodgy electrical fault that was easily put right.
