Good Points
3 restaurants to choose from as part of the all inclusive with something different every night PLUS you get tokens so you can have a meal in one of the a la carte restaurants which was fantastic! Gorgeous surroundings, great staff, great room, swim up bar in the pool, scuba lessons, pottery painting, crystal blue seas and white, palm treed sands!

Bad Points
Bad for the diet - you can really over indulge on the all inclusive and the free bar - the pina coladas were to die for!

General Comments
We went to the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort for our honeymoon and can't wait to return for our 5th anniversary - it's a great resort and the area has so much going on - we went snorkeling in Xel Ha (where fresh water meets the sea) and swam with the fishes. We went trekking in the rain forest, climbed a pyramid, got blessed by a Shamen before entering a candle lit cave pool, we spent time in a Mayan village and zip lined across the rain forest, we took advantage of the resorts scuba diving lesson and went out in to the coral reef and we took a trip to Cancun and swam with dolphins. When we weren't doing the tourist thing we relaxed by the pool, with an occasional swim to the bar and played a bit of golf on the mini course - truly the most fabulous holiday EVER - would recommend everyone to try it!
