Good Points

I purchased this car new when the re-vamped Galant appeared in 1997. I fell in love with the new shape and still to this day think it's a stunning 'looker'. The estate version not only looks better, but is far more practical. Without doubt this is the best car I have owned, which is why I still have it 9 years later! The leather seats are comfortable without being armchair like. Climate control air-con and cruise control have been superb, as have the electrically operated and heated front seats. I have had very few problems in my ownership.

Bad Points

From new the car had 15" 12-spoke alloys which were a nightmare to keep clean. After 7 years the alloys started to become pitted, so I took the opportunity to replace them with very pretty 17" Kosei alloys and Toyos. However I have to admit that the road noise has increased.

General Comments

My only general comment --------> Where is the replacement???? The only thing that comes close is the grotesquely shaped Grandis! .... and that is not an estate but a people carrier. With more and more manufacturers producing estate cars, surely it's about time Mitsubishi replaced the Galant. If they did I'd be first in line.
