Price - £15.01 from Amazon - excellent steamer for the price!
It has 3 tiers which is an amazing 10 litre food capacity!
The 'Aquatimer' indicates how much water is required for various cooking times (good guide provided to tell you how much water is needed for each type of food)
Large visible water level gauge on the front of the machine, tells you at a glance how much time is left.
The machine starts steaming in about 15 seconds and shuts off automatically when the time is up. It also makes an audible sound when the cooking is finished.
Stock tray to collect juices, ideal for tasty gravies and sauces that are full of vitamins.
Cool egg holders in each tray, meaning you can boil anything up to 18 eggs at a time!
Steamer lid doubles up as a tray to catch drips from the steamer bowls
You can cook all your fruit, veg, meat, seafood in one place, so it saves energy and water and is less labour intensive.
Safer where there are no handles to grab, and it won't boil over.
Food is tastier and healthier. Fruit and vegetables retain more vitamins and meat is moist and cooked without any added fat.
Looks smart and coordinates will with other black and brushed chrome kitchen gadgets.
Not all models come with the steamer bowl (mine didn't)
Could take up room in a small kitchen.
Takes a little bit of practice.
I've been steaming veggies for years using a steamer on the hob, but after seeing a friend use her electric steamer so much I decided to bit the bullet and buy one myself.
After a bit of researching I decided to buy this Tefal 6615814P, and I am very pleased with it. I hope to soon start seeing the benefits of using less gas too, as I can cook almost the whole meal in this steamer in one go, rather than using several pans.
I was even more pleased with the price as £15.01 still entitled me to free super-saver delivery, so not only did I get a great steamer for an excellent price, but I got it delivered for free!
If you've been thinking about getting one of these then think no more! For this price you can't go wrong!
