Good Points

Small(107 x 45 x 18 mm), Light weight when compared with other phones in its league (103g), Supports memory cards(microSD[transflash]), 64mb built in memory, Gprs, Edge(although not available in Ireland/Uk), Bluetooth, Infra-red, Usb 2.0 support via pop-port, 2MP camera, Dust and splash resistant, Sports Training software (stopwatch, steps calculator, calories burned), Text to speech capabilities, P-T-T(push-to-talk), Stereo FM radio, MP3/AAC/MPEG4 player, Flashlight, Integrated hands-free, Up to 270Hrs stand-by, Up to 4Hrs talk time

Bad Points

Nothing much except: No 3G (it has edge but most networks in Europe picked 3G over it). The send, receive and edit keys are located in an odd place.

General Comments

Phones lately seem to break much more easily then before, something falls off, screen cracks, etc., but the Nokia 5500 Sport, with its tough stainless steel body and splash and dust protectors on the inside plus rubber grips, makes the 5500 much tougher then other mobiles. I mean let's face it, everyone splashes something on their phone at some stage in their life. The 5500 incorporates many features as listed above, to mention but a few : MP3/AAC and an MPEG4 player with radio and to help with your training a stopwatch, pedometer, tells you calories burned and of course steps taking, distance covered, speed, and if you have trouble reading a text on the go, Nokia included a Text-2-Speech program. Nokia have thought of nearly everything, but wait, there's more for the exercise lover:
Tapping command or timed voice feedback of tracking data - enables real time tracking information without watching display
Diary - exercise records and planning and fitness coach program
Fitness Tests - Coopers test, biking test
Flashlight
